As a flexibility provider, you can unlock new revenue streams for both yourself and your customers, while enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of the energy grid. Our API allows you to seamlessly offer flexibility in several energy markets that you can't otherwise access.

Understanding Your Role​

As a flexibility provider, you are integral to the optimisation of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) such as batteries, electric vehicles (EVs) and their charging points, heat pumps, and solar panels. Your participation enables the effective bundling of small-scale smart energy sources into a significant collective force. This aggregation is crucial for addressing network congestion and balancing energy markets, ultimately contributing to environmental sustainability.

Environments​

Powernaut provides two completely separated environments for using our APIs:

The sandbox environment allows you to test and develop your integrations without affecting your live data or operations. This is particularly important when testing your resource integration, as it provides a safe space to validate your implementation before going live.

Moving to Production

You must pass a few integration tests before you can move to production.

Using Our Platform UI​

In addition to using our APIs programmatically, you can manage your resources through our intuitive platform UI. This user-friendly interface allows you to:

  • Manage sites and resource configurations

While the UI offers a convenient way to manage your resources, the APIs enable extensive automation and seamless integration with your existing systems.
